Dermatolipektomia - Tummy Tuck

Goal - Removal of excess fat and skin from the abdomen and tightening of the abdominal muscles.

Surgical Technique - A horizontal incision is made in the lower part of the abdomen (as for Caesarean section). Excess skin and fatty tissue is removed and, if necessary, liposuction of the sides and thighs can be done in the same act, as well as strengthening of the abdominal muscles.

Duration of the procedure and type of anesthesia - The intervention is performed under general anesthesia and lasts 2-3 hours depending on the scope of the operation.

Recovery – The drains are removed after 48 hours of surgery and the sutures are removed on the 14th day. After the operation, the patient is required to wear an elastic belt for about a month and save the body from heavy physical work, and it is mandatory to walk for 1 hour a day.

Rare complications  Post surgical appearance of a small swelling(seroma) at the site of the intervention.
