Rhinoplastica - Nose Surgery

Goal - Aesthetic and reconstructive correction of the size and shape of the nose (reduction of the hump of the nose, too wide a nose, lowered tip, saddle nose) as well as the repair of breathing, i.e. the deviation of the nasal septum due to crooked bones of the nose, curvature of the septum, hypertrophy of the nasal passages shells, sinuses, etc. Reconstructive interventions in congenital anomalies - cheilognatopalatoschisis, etc.

Surgical Technique - The intervention is performed through the nostrils so that there are no cuts that will be seen from the outside. After the surgical treatment, the patient wears tampons in the nose, which are removed on the 4th - 5th day after the operation, and an aluminum plate for better immobilization of the nose on the outside, which the patient wears for 10 days.

Duration of the procedure and type of anesthesia - The operation usually lasts for 1-1.45 minutes, depending on the scope of the intervention and is performed under general anesthesia.

Recovery – Until the tampons are removed (4-5 days after surgery) from the nose, the patient breathes through the mouth.

Rare complications - Rare complications are swelling around the eyes and nose that go away in a few days. Slight swelling around the tip or bones of the nose goes away with light massages and can last for several weeks until the final result is obtained, and is related to the scope of the operation.
